Claflin High School and Claflin Elementary School have both received the Governor’s Achievement Awards for the 2010-11 school year. This is the third year for CHS and second for CES.

           Criteria for this award are: Achievement of the Standard of Excellence in math and reading; Adequate Yearly Progress in math and reading; Graduation Rate for high school and Attendance for elementary; The school must be in the top 5% in both reading and math on the 2011 state assessments.

           Across the state 43 elementary schools, 11 junior high schools and 18 high schools qualified for this award.
