Regardless what grade level you teach or work with, there are a variety of resources available that you can use to help your students enjoy learning about general health and well-being, as well as the exciting careers open to them.

Happy In Health Care brings together information about health care career opportunities, health care schools in Kansas and scholarship information. And encourage individuals to take the NEW health careers six question survey so they can learn what careers are a good fit for them.

The Top Health Care Careers in Kansas publication was produced by the Kansas Hospital Association and the Kansas Board of Regents to highlight health care job opportunities. A great resource for career planning: average salary expectations, projected job openings, training opportunities in Kansas schools and more. Social media images and content highlighting top health care careers in Kansas are available for download.

HOSA has on-demand learning opportunities that provide a variety of mini-lessons from leadership skill development and communication skills, to health care topics such as Cardiovascular, Vital Signs, Medical Math, Vaping and much more. These are great resources with supporting videos for students.

The Inventory of Health Care Programs in Kansas document provides a comprehensive guide to what schools you can attend to take the next steps in your health care career. Whether you're looking for options to become a medical coder, social worker, rad tech, nurse, or anything in between, check out this inventory to aid in your search for programs at four-year universities or even community college and technical schools.
