USD 112 MISSION STATEMENT  

Unified School District #112, in partnership with home and community, is dedicated to motivate, challenge, and educate students to become responsible, productive citizens in a diverse, global society. The district will provide educational experiences in a nurturing, student-friendly environment, which will empower each individual to achieve his/her greatest potential.

District Wide Announcements

  • Central Plains Grant Fund

    The awardees of The USD 112 Central Plains Fund Grant are:

         Central Plains Middle School (Robyn Heitschmidt): $497.50 for the purchase of audio books.

         Wilson Elementary School (Kelly Thielen): $494.52 for the purchase of book sets for their MTSS program.

          Central Plains Elementary School (Nichole Jeffrey): $391.00 for the purchase of the program Expanding Language Growth.

          Central Plains Middle School (Lisa Ryan): $215.04 for the purchase of beanbags for the Beanbag Reading Program.


         These grants have been funded through donations to the Smoky Hills Charitable Foundation/USD 112 Central Plains Fund.

          Match Madness is a one day annual event held by Smoky Hills Charitable Foundation. The event is to be held this year on May 3, 2016. It is designed to generate new gifts to the USD 112 Central Plains endowed funds. Each new donation received on May 3 will be matched proportionally.

    The Kansas School Safety Hotline (1-877-626-8203) became operative August 1, 1999, for use by students, parents, and community members in anonymously reporting any impending school violence.  As of August 1, 2015, 5,584 hotline calls were logged with 1,142 of them being referred to school districts and/or law enforcement agencies
