    REQUIREMENTS:   Must enjoy working with special needs students!  Strong communication and interpersonal skills.  Must obtain a passing score on the state paraeducator assessment, or have a minimum of 48 college hours, or have a post-secondary degree. We are an Equal Opportunity Employer. Starting rate of pay: $9.77 or if Highly Qualified $10.06.
    DUTIES:   Provide support to classroom teachers through instruction and other classroom duties as needed.

  • USD 112 Upcoming Board Member Elections

    USD 112 Central Plains would like to announce the following school board positions up for election on the November 7, 2017 general election ballot:
    Position #2, currently held by Jacob Charvat; Position #4, currently held by Dennis Rolfs; and Position #6, currently held by Tony Zink.

    Board Clerk Diane Ney would like to remind the Central Plains School District patrons, who are interested in running for a position on the school board, that the filing deadline is June 1, 2017 at 12:00 noon at the County Clerks office located in the Ellsworth County Courthouse, Ellsworth, KS. The filing fee is $20.00 and you must state what position you are filing for and be a resident of that district position. A primary election (Aug. 1, 2017) must be conducted if more than three people file for the same school board position. If there are any questions, or patrons are unsure of their district position, they can contact the Central Plains Superintendent’s office at 785-252-3695.

    The Kansas School Safety Hotline (1-877-626-8203) became operative August 1, 1999, for use by students, parents, and community members in anonymously reporting any impending school violence.  As of August 1, 2015, 5,584 hotline calls were logged with 1,142 of them being referred to school districts and/or law enforcement agencies
